Surely nobody has any say about your website except you do they? Well, actually yes they do. There are certain rules to be followed and we’re not talking about best practice in web design! There are also rules about your letters and invoices too.

For limited companies, the company name plus the place of incorporation, the company number and the registered office must be shown on business letters, order forms and websites. If such communications are done by e-mail or fax then these details must be shown there too.

There are broadly similar identity disclosure rules applying to sole traders and partnerships.

Did you know that you can include the names of the directors on your letters – but if you do then all directors names must be given.
