How does my tax work if I have two jobs?

You can have as many jobs as you like but you have only one personal allowance (the amount you can earn before you pay tax).

If you have two jobs you can choose which has the allowance or you can split the allowance between the jobs (this is usually done where both are low paid such as two jobs each paying £3,000 pa).
