Can I continue to do my payroll manually under RTI?
No, you will not be able to keep your payroll records manually.
Under RTI you will be required to electronically file your staff wages details every time they are paid and that information cannot be filed by keying it in on the HMRC website from manually kept records.
All RTI filing can only be done directly from payroll software which you use to do your wages. One solution will be HMRC’s own software, Basic Tools, which will be capable of RTI filing although it will be limited to 9 employees.
